 | Liudmila Kalpokiene is the highest category guide who has more than 25 years guiding experience and for sure knows how to tell the story of the country she grew up in.
Good history knowledge, easy humor and professional communication skills make her one of a few. She knows the country, the way it was and the way it is now, she smiles and laughs, and the most important, she knows whom, what and how to tell. The story she tells is much more than only dates and names.

Liudmila was born in Vilnius. The name she was given means “sweet“. She studied mathematics in the university of Vilnius, in addition, graduated English from Riga university in 1989. The guide courses she took in 1977. Liudmila started working as a guide in Soviet times, when not so many foreigners were allowed to enter the Union. Naturally, she couldn‘t guide in English. However, when the Union collapsed she didn't quit guiding and with a huge excitement she finally started guiding in English, the language wich was hardly used during USSR time. |  |  | Now she is a well known guide in Lithuania, still full of new ideas, energy and self confidence, seeking for new experiences and acquaintanceships.
In addition to a very active life style, she plays table tennis, participates in different international competitions and brings home as many awards as she can. |
